Mythology In Romeo And Juliet

Klass-Humiliation and Abuse-

Hi folks, Today I want to talk about a movie Estonia (Estonia is a country in Eastern Europe that was part of the former Soviet Union) that gave a lot of talk in Europe when it was released in 2007.

is the issue of violence in schools, but unlike gringo films on the subject, not a moralistic sermon on how bad it is to be violent. It is an oil portrait, simple and realistic about how it feels to be harassed by a group of thugs every day just for the sake of being different.

Of course the situation described in the movie is pretty extreme, but not you, but I if I lived similar experiences at school. If you ask me if I would returned to the school say that no, it was a horrible experience and I feel my life is much better now. If I had known what I know now, I probably would have dismissed for misconduct to be always in fights.

So you see, this film feel very close to me and I'd like to share with you.

What a great movie! I want to thank my good friend Joshua and enjoy myself and recommend passage. The use parts of this film to expose the problem of violence in schools and the truth is that a film that lends itself to reflection, but warn that it is extremely strong and not suitable for very sensitive people.

The issue of bullying and shootings in schools has been touched by the film several times, especially since the infamous Columbine Slaughter. Klass borrows many elements of the story of Columbine, but also knows how to show a frank, even brutal, it feels to be abused and humiliated daily at school.

The virtue of this film is the way that envelops you and you mess with the characters, superbly acted by a group of teenage first-timers (and not a bunch of old as Hollywood usually) and gets you into the shoes of a poor helpless guy to a group of thugs who unfortunately are also classmates.

Indeed I loved how the movie shows that bullies are nothing but cowards, especially the leaders. Guys who love to torture and humiliate someone just for being different or being quiet and calm. Slags who can not fight like men and they attack in groups or with weapons, and Anders, the villain of the film, a guy with a look to Cristiano Ronaldo to end up hating to death by the end of the film.

also interesting is the role played by various groups in the circle of violence. The girls in the class are complicit in the cruelty of bullying, including Kaspar girlfriend, Thea, who manipulates the boy to stop and not defend Joosep Anders faces. It also shows that although they are not direct participants in the beatings, the women have their own methods of bullying such as gossip and jokes, sometimes much more damaging than their own shock.

teachers often indifferent or simply incapable of exercising the necessary authority to protect students who are victims of violence. And of course the parents, as the case Joosep, whose father is an Alpha male who wants his son to defend response violently, and who strongly influences how the story ends.

When I saw this film, fills me with rage and frustration, and heart is accelerating as it passes through the film. Towards the end one feels that Joosep and Kaspar are in full right to end their attackers. Without wishing to spoilers, the beach scene is the straw that breaks the camel and virtually there after you feel that perpetrators do not deserve to live and that both victims have no choice but to resort to violence as they did. A desire for justice and revenge overwhelms the viewer and full of adrenaline, just like the characters.

Perhaps, from the academic point of view, the sin of this film is completely dehumanizing the aggressor, in this case, Anders and his cronies, of which we know nothing except that they are bastards. We do not know for what reason the jack Joosep Anders (unless it is simply not being good at sports) and even less, never know his past or his family or something that justifies or at least indicate that it acts like a bitch. Also

is incredible that only rebel against Anders Kaspar, especially as the whole class follows the game. Perhaps only a goth girl is saved, but this is indifferent to the situation and is also Joosep teased by Anders.

But anyway, the movie is very good, looks great However, this well directed and the actors did a brilliant job, especially considering that none had previous experience in film, mostly students with some experience in theater, and that Estonia is relatively young and not well known film material. This film is a gem for that country.

recommend it, but I repeat that is very strong and is not suitable for anyone, especially young people, because it requires a certain maturity to absorb the history, and some people may rather interpret it as a glorification of violence as a solution conflicts. For Joosep maybe if it is, but for the simple reason that neither his family nor his teachers or peers did something about it.

Sincerely,

Jay's got a gun
